Sheep Blood Agar with Ampicillin

Sheep Blood Agar with ampicillin is used for the selective isolation and cultivation of Aeromonas species. The addition of ampicillin inhibits the growth of most Enterobacterales and some gram-positive bacteria, making it easier to isolate Aeromonas spp. from clinical specimens.
