Schaedler Kanamycin Vancomycin Laked Blood (KV) Agar

Schaedler KV Laked Blood agar is used for the selective isolation and partial identification of anaerobic bacteria. The medium contains kanamycin and vancomycin, which inhibit the growth of gram-positive organisms and gram-negative facultative anaerobic bacteria. The laked blood enhances the pigmentation of certain anaerobes.
